I am in the midst of trying to set up this blog in order to let others (my family and friends that live at a distance) see my art/notecards. I also would like to know their opinion on a name for my art/notecards. I recently had the pleasure of meeting a lovely lady from California named Anny. She left me with such encouragement concerning the future of my art. She came at just the right moment, and for that, I am thankful.
So, if you are out there, let me know what you think...would you vote for "Southern Charm" or "A Taste of the South"? Or how about "Nancy's Creations" or "Nancy Lynn's Creations"? If you don't like any of these, make a suggestion. Thanks!

Gee, Nancy, all are great options! I have to admit that I'm tending to lean more toward "Nancy's Creations" or "Nancy Lynn's Creations" since either name doesn't pigeon hole your work into what may be perceived as regional. Better name branding by using your real name. Maybe modify "Nancy Lynn's Creations" to "Nancy Lynn Creations"? Or, maybe "Art by Nancy McDonald"?

ReplyDeleteHey Nancy, Of course I had to check this out!! :) Well, you know if I had my way, your art would be called "Hoppy's Creations"...... :) but I guess that's not real professional, huh? So if I have to choose between the others, I think I like Nancy's Creations but I like Southern Creations too. But regardless of the name, I know you will do well with it!

Nancy my dear teacher and friend. You pull inspiration for your creations from the world around you. So don't limit yourself to one specific area. I think there is a cooking mag. with the name close to "A Taste of The South". How about "Inspirations by Nancy McDonald" it would let you cover all mediums of art and topics.

ReplyDeleteNancy, I like "Inspirations by Nancy McDonald" even though that isn't one of your suggestions! It would cover anything you do and be specific to "you". It will be interesting to follow your new venture.
